Share your referral code.

Access and share your unique referral code, which is located on your bill. You should also receive an e-mail when you enroll that lets you easily share and send your referral code across e-mail, messenger, Facebook, or Twitter.

If your friend enrolls with LifeEnergy, they must provide your referral code at enrollment.

Get your $25.

Once your referral code is entered and redeemed for a new enrollment, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that a friend has signed up and when to expect your bill credit.*

What is the Friends 4 Life program?

The Friends 4 Life program is LifeEnergy’s customer referral program. If a new customer enrolls using your unique Friends 4 Life program ID, you both receive a $25 bill credit.

How does a customer qualify for the Friends 4 Life program?

All Texas LifeEnergy customers are eligible to participate in the Friends 4 Life program. However, to receive the $25 bill credit, you must meet the following criteria:

Both customers must be active LifeEnergy customers
Both customers must have registered their LifeEnergy account via the online portal
Referred customer must maintain active account status and be in good standing (i.e., no past-due balance owed) for at least 90 days after start of service
Referred customer must enroll on an eligible "Friends 4 Life" product

What happens to my bill credits if I cancel my LifeEnergy service?

If you cancel your LifeEnergy service, you won't be able to earn any more bill credits. Credit balances are not redeemable for cash and will be voided upon the service cancellation date.

How many $25 bill credits can I receive?

There is no limit to the bill credits you may earn. However, if you refer more than 24 customers in a one-year period, you will be required to fill out and submit a 1099 as required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

When will I receive my Friends 4 Life program ID?

You will receive your Friends 4 Life program ID via e-mail within 2-3 days of your accepted enrollment. It is imperative that a valid e-mail is provided at enrollment so that you receive this communication, as well as additional information pertaining to your account and other LifeEnergy correspondence.

What if I deleted or never received my Friends 4 Life program e-mail and/or unique ID?

At any time, you can request to receive your Friends 4 Life program ID by contacting LifeEnergy Customer Care via the following methods:

What happens if the person I referred doesn't include my Friends 4 Life program ID when enrolling?

A Friends 4 Life program ID must be provided at the time of the referred customer’s enrollment. No exceptions will be made. No credits will be applied to an account after the referred customer’s enrollment has been submitted and processed.

How long will it take to receive my $25 bill credit?

After the person you referred has successfully enrolled with LifeEnergy using your unique Friends 4 Life program ID and the program’s eligibility requirements are met, you and your friend will each receive the $25 bill credit between 90 and 120 days after the referred customer’s enrollment.

May I use a referral code for a renewal enrollment?

No. Referral codes may only be applied toward new customer enrollments.

What happens to my bill credits if I change my service and/or rate plan?

As long as you remain a LifeEnergy customer, you can still participate in the LifeEnergy Friends 4 Life program.

LifeEnergy Friends 4 Life Program

Terms & Conditions

Participation in and use of the LifeEnergy Friends 4 Life program ("The Program") is subject to the following Terms and Conditions ("Program Terms"). The Program pertains specifically to current LifeEnergy residential customers ("Participant(s)") referring other residential customers ("Customer(s)") in Texas where electricity competition is available and where LifeEnergy offers residential electricity service. If you have any questions about the Program Terms or any other policies or terms applicable to your involvement in the Program, please e-mail LifeEnergy at Care@LifeEnergy.com.

Participants in the Friends 4 Life Program

Participants must be in good standing to be eligible to participate in the Program. To be considered in good standing, the Participant must have an active residential account with LifeEnergy. Both the Participant and the Referred customer must be active LifeEnergy customers to receive the $25 bill credit. Additionally, the Referred customer must enroll on an eligible "Friends 4 Life" product and be in good standing (i.e., no past-due balance owed) for at least 90 day after start of service. LifeEnergy reserves the right to terminate a Participant’s participation in the Program or cancel the Program at any time for any reason or no reason, to the extent permitted by law, upon written notice to Participants. Any written notices required or permitted to be given by LifeEnergy hereunder may be delivered by email. By participating in the Program, you consent to delivery of all Program-related notices and information by email to the email address you have registered at the time of enrollment and within your LifeEnergy Online Account Manager and acknowledge that you have the necessary equipment (hardware and software) to receive and read such emails.

Qualified Referrals and Rewards

For purposes of the Program, a qualified referral must be a new LifeEnergy customer. New customer is defined as someone that is neither 1) a current or pending residential electricity customer of LifeEnergy or 2) a person who was a residential electricity of LifeEnergy within six (6) months prior to the date of re-enrollment with LifeEnergy. In addition, a qualified referral must satisfy all LifeEnergy enrollment requirements including; a) enroll with LifeEnergy and provide a valid Friends 4 Life program ID ("Referral ID") in the Referral ID field via the website or by advising the Call Center agent of the Referral ID when enrolling over the phone; b) remain a LifeEnergy customer for 90 consecutive days after enrollment and c) does not owe a balance at the time of fulfillment. Eligible participants and qualified referrals that are residents of Texas will receive their reward for participation in the Program in the form of a LifeEnergy bill credit. The reward amount of such bill credit will be determined based upon LifeEnergy's current offer at the time of the qualified referral's enrollment with LifeEnergy. The amount LifeEnergy is offering may be changed by LifeEnergy at any time prior to enrollment of a qualified referral without notice to you or your referrals. The LifeEnergy Friends 4 Life program page on the LifeEnergy website will contain up-to-date information regarding LifeEnergy's current offer, which can be accessed via https://www.lifeenergy.com/referrals/.

By participating in the Program, you agree that LifeEnergy shall make the final determination as to whether a person meets all requirements to be considered a Qualified Referral. Bill Credits earned by residents of Texas shall only be applied to the kWh usage portion of the Participants LifeEnergy electricity bill. Program bill credits shall not be applied to amounts owed on applicable taxes and/or fees portion of the bill.

CAN-SPAM Act Compliance

LifeEnergy complies with the federal CAN-SPAM Act and honors requests of consumers and customers who choose to opt out of receiving LifeEnergy marketing emails. Accordingly, if you designate a referral email address that has previously opted out of receiving LifeEnergy marketing emails, you may be advised that the email address is not eligible to be sent a LifeEnergy Friends 4 Life program email.

Confidentiality

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, you agree that you will comply with the customer confidentiality provisions set forth in Rule 25.472 of the Public Utility Commission of Texas.

Trademarks

Other than with respect to materials provided in connection with your participation in the Program, your status as a Participant in the Program does not entitle you to use any trademarks, copyrighted materials, patents, names, logos or other intellectual property owned or licensed by LifeEnergy, its parent or each of their respective affiliates.

Indemnification

By participating in the Program, you agree to and will indemnify and hold LifeEnergy, its parent and each of their respective affiliates harmless from and against any and all damages, costs, expenses, claims or liabilities of any kind, including third party claims, whether pending or threatened, including without limitation, attorneys' fees and court costs, incurred by any of them arising out of or related to your participation in the Program or breach of these Program Terms.

Amendments

These Program Terms may be altered, changed, modified or assigned by LifeEnergy at any time by providing notice to you. Your participation in the Program at any time after LifeEnergy provides you such notice of changes will constitute your agreement to such changes.

Other Terms and Conditions

These Program Terms are in addition to and do not in any way limit or alter LifeEnergy’s existing customer terms and conditions or agreements pursuant to which LifeEnergy allows you to participate in the Program. Bill credits may not be transferred, assigned or redeemed for cash. Limit one referring customer per new enrollment.
